We exist to build into the lives of young men and seek to be a vessel used by God to share the hope of Christ with college golfers and coaches. Our goal is to expose unbelieving college golfers and coaches to the truths of Scripture and to invest into their lives as they place their trust in Jesus Christ and grow into fully committed followers of Him. Fully devoted followers of Christ are those who love God with their whole heart, soul, mind, and strength. They have chosen to live life in submission to Jesus Christ, continually yielding to the power of the Holy Spirit and growing as men of worship, conviction, service, perspective, and purpose.
We are a relationship-based ministry, and are not driven by programs or activities. We use our activities as a means to an end-- developing relationships in order to earn the right to be heard. Scripture clearly shows that Jesus modeled a relationship-based ministry, and He changed lives by spending time with people, loving them, and modeling His life before them. He did not wait for people to come to Him. He did not wait for people to come to a church. Instead, those He ministered to became the Church, and He sent them out into the world to develop relationships and share His message of hope.
Jesus set out to seek and save those who were lost (Luke 19:10). He met them in their environments and developed meaningful relationships with them. He invested time into their lives and poured out love, hope, peace, grace, forgiveness, and in the process changed their lives. As an extension of the Church, CGF exists to follow Jesus' example of relational ministry and reach out to a group of people who are spiritually lost and in need of salvation-- college golfers and coaches.
