Gunnar is the newest addition to the CGF team, coming on staff in July of 2007. He currently resides in Brea, California, and covers the Southwest Region for CGF. Graduating from Fresno State University in May of 2007, Gunnar was a
four-time WAC Scholar Athlete, a two-year team captain, and a 2007 GCAA All-American Scholar for the Fresno State Golf Team.
During his five years as a Bulldog, God prepared Gunnar for his call to full-time Christian ministry. Committed to growing in his faith and wanting to invest in the lives of other student athletes, Gunnar became involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) at Fresno State. Serving as the president of FCA at Fresno State from 2004-2007, Gunnar grew significantly in his relationship with God and as a Christian leader. During this time, the Lord confirmed Gunnar’s passion and call to be Christ’s hands and feet to the student athletes on his campus and beyond.
CGF also played an important role in Gunnar’s spiritual development. Touched by the ministry early on in his collegiate golf career, Gunnar had the opportunity to attend multiple CGF events and spend a great deal of time with Steve Burdick, who became both a mentor and close friend.
Gunnar married his lovely bride, Deborah, in June of 2007.
Gunnar works with players and coaches throughout California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, and Colorado.
